HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020!

May you have a blessed and splendid great year of 2020 ahead!

On behalf of IGM, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continuous support in the previous years. For 2020 calendar, we have quite a few programmes planned for the benefits of all IGM members. We hope with your support all the planned activities will be successfully implemented. In 2019, IGM has undertaken a few programmes in collaboration with other parties such as JMG, GSM and BoG, in order to cater the needs of IGM community. The programmes include the National Groundwater Conference 2019, Advanced Seminar Economic Geology and Mineral Resources, the first National Seminar on Marine Geology, Focus Group Discussion on Current Issues and Challenges in Geoscience Consultancy and Services, the setup of Working Committee for Formulation of a National Code for Public Reporting of Exploration Results, MRT Station Visit, Town Hall Session with Board of Geologist Malaysia and technical courses.

And a gentle reminder here that the 2020 subscription is now due. Article V Item 2 of the IGM Constitution stipulates that the annual subscriptions shall be payable in the months of January of every year. We therefore appreciate very much if you could kindly make payment of your subscription through internet banking or by depositing cash or cheque into the following bank account as soon as possible. After payment has been made, please fill up the online Deposit Notification Form to notify us of the payment made. You can check your member status via online Membership Status Check.

Members are kindly advised to take note of Article V Item 5 of IGM Constitution which states that no corporate member, whose annual subscription remains unpaid for a period of three months shall be entitled to attend, or take part in the meetings of the Institute, nor to receive the notices or publications of the Institute, nor shall he or she be entitled to vote, until he or she has paid in full such subscription.
