Due to the carrying capacity of the venue, only 20 participants are allowed. Interested members please register on a first-come-first-served basis. The meeting location would be shared with the successfully registered participants later.

PGSC officially commenced operations on 17 October 2011 with the objective of being a repository for multiple types of geological samples from PETRONAS and Petroleum Arrangement Contractors (PACs) domestic and international operations. All geological samples in PGSC are preserved in special composite boxes for future analysis.

Spanning a total area of 101,112 square feet, PGSC has a massive storage area comprising a 32-row racking system containing 12 levels. The huge storage capacity is planned for preservation activities for the next 30 years. The facility is also equipped with special machineries and equipment such as Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, table lifters and conveyor tables to ensure effective implementation of the preservation and retrieving process.

PGSC acts as a one-stop physical preservation centre for Exploration and Production as it is also the custodian for preservation of Geoscience magnetic media and technical documents.
